Hojicha tea is a blend of Sencha and Bancha which has been roasted in a porcelain pot over charcoal, instead of steamed like most other Japanese teas. It has a mild and nutty flavor with caramel notes which makes it a truly unique "green tea". 

Ikeda brand Japanese tea is distributed by Little Prayer Tea Company. LPTC wanted to do something special for their Japanese tea line, so in tribute to Grandma Masako Ikeda A.K.A Margie, it was named after her.
